Mr. Irfan Mehmood

Dr Irfan Mehmood is an accomplished academician and researcher from Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. He has established himself as a prominent figure in the field of English Literature, particularly known for his expertise in Marxist literary analysis and his contributions to various academic journals. Irfan Mehmood completed his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of the Punjab in 2004. His educational pursuits continued with a B.Ed from Allama Iqbal Open University in 2014, and he earned his Masters in English Literature from the University of the Punjab in 2013. Subsequently, he pursued an M.Phil in English Literature from Lahore Leads University in 2015 and achieved the pinnacle of academic success with a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Sindh in 2023. Mr. Irfan's dedication to continuous learning is evident in his technical certifications, including a diploma in window application, a certificate in English for Career Development from the US Department of State, and completion of various courses, such as Creative Writing and Ancient Greek Hero, from prestigious institutions like Harvard University and Virtual University. His prolific academic career extends beyond formal education into substantial research and publications. Irfan has actively contributed to reputable journals, earning recognition from the Higher Education Commission (HEC). Notable publications include articles like "Toni Morrison as an African American Voice: A Marxist Analysis" in the Journal of African American Studies and "The attributes of love: a comparative study of Saint John of the Cross and Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai" in the Journal of Policy Research. In addition to his scholarly contributions, Mr. Irfan has been an integral part of international and national conferences, presenting his research findings. He participated as a presenter in conferences held at Khazar University, Azerbaijan, and West University of Timisora, Romania, among others. Professionally, Dr Irfan serves as Head of Department, Centre for English Language and Learning, English at the University of Okara. He also holds the position of Deputy Director at the Financial Aid Office, further showcasing his commitment to academic administration and student welfare. His membership in the University Research Project Committee reflects his dedication to advancing research initiatives. Mr. Irfan Mehmood's journey is characterized by a strong work ethic and a positive outlook. His career objectives focus on research-based learning to elevate academic standards and inspire students.
