MS Computer Science
Program Structure
The basic intention of MS in Computer Science is to develop the intuition of professionalism and research in the field of computing. The curriculum is structured to provide a balanced mixture of theory and practical experiences at advance levels to make the graduates capable of sound professional decisions. As a result, the graduates would be able to assume responsible positions in business, government, academia, research and development.
Duration
The minimum duration for completion of MS CS degree is two years. The HEC allows a maximum period of four years to complete MS CS degree requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
The minimum requirements for admission in MS CS are given below: 1. A degree earned after 16 years of education in computing and related discipline with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 2.50 out of scale 4.00. 2. Before the last date of submission of admission application, the applicant must have passed the University Entry Test with a minimum score of 60% OR GAT (General) as per HEC criteria Analytical Reasoning 30 % Quantitative Reasoning (Math) 35% Verbal Reasoning (English) 35% 3. The following core courses are recommended to be completed before entering the MS (CS) program. Analysis of Algorithm Computer Architecture/ Assembly Language Computer Networks Computer Programming Data Structures Database Systems Operating Systems Software Engineering Theory of Automata 4. A student selected for admission having deficiency in the above stated courses may be required to study a maximum of 04 courses, which must be passed in the first two semesters. Deficiency courses shall be determined by the Graduate Studies Committee before admitting the student. 5. University of Okara, Rules & Regulations Regarding Admission, Registration and Examination of MS/MPhil Programs, 2016 shall be followed.

Degree Completion Requirements
To become eligible for MS CS degree a student must satisfy the following requirements: · Must have studied and passed Course Work of 24 credit hours, 06 Credit Hours Thesis and Qualified Comprehensive Exam. · Must have earned CGPA of at least 2.50 out of scale 4.00.
